The Memorial Arch for Grandfather Grandson, and two great-grandsons: Provincial and Metropolitan Graduates
Many generations of Lu family members have excelled in the civil service examination system, serving the provincial, metropolitan, and national government.
The grandfather Lu Kai (15th gen.) passed the Provincial Examination in 1462 with Highest Honor and his grandson Lu Zhongdian (18th gen.) passed the Metropolitan Examination in 1556. The great-grandson Lu Hongxia (19th gen.) passed the Provincial Examination in 1564 and his brother Lu Hongchun (19th gen.) passed the Metropolitan Examination in 1577.
