Ancestral portrait and offerings. The style of such offerings is called 'arraging tall desserts for tea'. In the new year, the Lu family would hang their ancestral portraits in the hall and 'arrage tall desserts for tea' for the worship. The tall desserts for tea are composed by four kinds of cookies, four kinds of nutritious food, four kinds of fruit, and four kinds of desserts for tea. This custom can be traced back at least to 1819. |
