Ceremonial Gate/Glory of the Nation Gate, Guoguang Men 國光門

The Ceremonial Gate was built at the same time as Seriousness and Consonance Hall, in the mid-fifteenth century. It was renovated in 1867 and 1985. It is said that when officials of the third rank or above visited the compound the middle gate would be opened and the threshold removed in order to show respect.
